Guided tours in the Karlsruhe Zoological Garden

Would you like to get to know the Karlsruhe Zoo from a different perspective and gain interesting background knowledge on the tasks and activities of our zoo? Or discover interesting facts about your favourite animals or plants? Then you are welcome to book one of the guided tours with our trained specialist staff.

Whether it’s a birthday, a company outing, a family or club outing, regardless of whether for young or old – our themed tours are perfect for every occasion. The theme can be freely selected from our numerous suggestions. If it should be a bit more individual, there is also the possibility of guided tours to favourite animals of your own choice.

The team of the Horticultural Office is happy to guide you individually through the City Garden on request. For specific enquiries, please contact [email protected]. In addition, there are regular public themed tours, for example of the rose garden or the perennial garden, where you can hear all kinds of interesting facts about the city garden, in addition to picking up a tip or two for gardening at home.

School offers

The experienced and trained zoo education team offers special guided tours for school classes on various topics. The tours’ content is based on the curricula and adapted to the age groups.

Children’s birthday party at the zoo

A birthday party at the zoo is something very special. Together with your friends, you can get to know your favourite animals better and go on a voyage of discovery through the zoo. Our scout has plenty to offer and lots of things for you to touch, as well as exciting riddles. As the birthday boy or girl, you also get free admission to the zoo on this day.

Segway-Tours

A very special experience is available from March to October: The silent Segways from our partner CitySeg “Erlebnis e-Mobilität” take you on an exclusive tour of the zoo before it opens.

The tour is accompanied by an official zoo guide. The tours can also be conducted in English, Spanish and French on request with appropriate guides. You will receive a day ticket so that you can explore the large area extensively after the tour.
